Transfer Students

Step 1: Complete the application form

Submit your application using one of the following links:

Step 2: Submit Payment

Applying requires a US $50 nonrefundable application fee. Additional documents and required materials can be submitted at any time after you have completed your online application.

Step 3: Submit official transcripts

To be eligible for transfer credit review, your transcripts must be received by the end of your first semester at Academy of Art University. 

Academy of Art University is a member of the National Student Clearinghouse Electronic Transcript Exchange Registry and accepts transcripts from other member organizations. You may have your official electronic transcripts sent to: Transcripts@academyart.edu.

Alternatively you can submit Your Official Transcript(s) by mail to: Academy of Art University Attn: Office of The Registrar 79 New Montgomery St. San Francisco, California 94105 Official transcripts should be sealed and mailed directly to Academy of Art University by the issuing institution. 

You may also email your unofficial transcript(s) to: Transcripts@academyart.edu. 

Academy of Art University can only evaluate transcripts that have been translated into English. For assistance is having your transcript translated, please contact your Admissions Representative.
